Client stories

Evidence from recent implementation work.

Quotes reference specific consultations. Voices vary — including measured reservations — because clean marketing praise rarely matches how programmes actually feel.

“Bytefieldcore spent the first week on our labelling guidelines, not on model architectures. That felt slow until we saw how much disagreement the pilot annotators had. The roadmap we received named owners and stop conditions we still use.”

“The evaluation clinic caught leakage in our holdout that our internal review had missed. I would have preferred a sharper recommendation on vendor tools, but the slice report alone justified the fee.”

James Okonkwo · Lead Data Scientist, retail analytics team · Model Evaluation Clinic

“We needed clarity on who owns retraining after the research pair moves on. The handoff advisory produced a short matrix our on-call rota could actually follow — no new dashboard required.”

Priya Nair · Engineering Manager, fintech operations · MLOps Handoff Advisory

“The readiness assessment told our board to pause a generative project until privacy review finished. Not the answer sales wanted, but it stopped a messy build.”

Extended note: logistics labelling rewrite

A regional logistics product team approached Bytefieldcore after a classifier prototype stalled in review. Discovery showed annotators disagreed on nearly a third of minority-class tickets. We paused architecture talk, rewrote the taxonomy with operations staff, and only then drafted a twelve-week roadmap.

The engagement did not include production training. It did leave go/no-go criteria the head of product still cites in quarterly planning. Cycle time to a trusted pilot improved because the team stopped treating labels as a side chore.
